This collection of photos consists of snapshots taken in Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Dong Ha, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City. It is my intent to show Vietnam’s incredible variety of landscapes, be they the vast countryside hills near the Lao border, the waters of Ha Long Bay, or the sprawling urban cityscape of Ho Chi Minh City. I’ve also included a few photos of beautiful architecture and craftsmanship of the citadel in Hue, an NVA memorial, and a famously bombed church near Dong Ha. One of the main reasons I wanted to go on PacRim and travel around Asia (and the world) was to see all kinds of different and new cities and natural areas. I certainly satisfied that desire in Vietnam. Traveling down the coastline from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City is sure to show any traveler the vast multitude of cultures, natural features, and cities that Vietnam has to offer.
