Part of what PacRim has become for me is a celebration of the incredible individuals that are accompanying me. After being separated for winter break, our reunion as a group in Chiang Mai was joyful and enthusiastic. I decided to devote my photography project in Thailand to a capture a few of the beautifully unique faces of my co-travelers. Unfortunately, one month was not nearly enough time to do justice to every wonderful face that I am traveling with, but below are a few moments of individualism shining through that I was lucky enough to capture. These are the faces I see steeped in sleepiness when we have 5 AM travel days. The eyes I lock with across the classroom to exchange frustration over an undecipherable lecture, or excitement for an upcoming adventure to an elephant camp. These are faces that I barely knew a year ago, and now cannot imagine my life without.
