Our week of insane travel from Bangkok to Jogjakarta was a fleeting opportunity to get the gist of Penang, Malaysia and Singapore. Both of these countries are incredible regions bursting with unique ways to explore their complexities. The condensed nature of our visits to these countries forced us to prioritize what we wanted to see. I wanted gardens. In Penang, I went with a few fellow PacRimmers to see the one of the biggest Butterfly Sanctuaries in the world. While in Singapore, I explored the Botanical Gardens. Both were beautiful.
